07 Mar Donation to the Earthquake Catastrophe in Sichuan

On May 12, 2008, a disastrous earthquake of 7.8 Grade suddenly erupted in the Wenchuan County of the Sichuan province killing tens of thousands of people, destroying many thousands of houses and schools, leaving numerous people homeless and creating lots of orphans. For humanity, the Association has initiated a fund raising campaign encouraging members to donate money helping the rebuilt of homes and schools in the earthquake affected areas. A total of HK$45,000 donation was collected and re-directed to the Hong Kong Red Cross for use in their salvage projects.
