The First Annual General Meeting and Dinner

The first annual general meeting and anniversary dinner of the Association were held on 4 August 2006. Representatives from 22 member companies attended the annual general meeting while more than 40 members and industry representatives joined the banquet. The general meeting started with the annual report of the President Ms. Angela Lau, who then introduced Ms. Vivien Chou, the Vice President, Dr. Antony Poon the Secretary, Dr. Albert Wong the Treasurer, Mr. Abraham Chan, Mr. Covington Leung and Mrs. Deborah Woo as Council Members. Tong Chan & Co., Solicitors was appointed as Honorary Legal Advisor and Ms. Maggie Chau was employed as the Auditor. For the dinner, the Association has invited Ms. Connie Lau, Deputy Chief Executive of the Consumer Council to give a speech on “How to Promote the Code of Conduct within the Industry”. Legislative Councilor Dr. Joseph Lee has honored the Association by his presence to present appointment certificate to Officers of the Association and to supervise the oath taking of the Council Members. Mr. Anthony Chan, Chief Pharmacist of the Department of Health has presented certificates to the Council Members. The banquet officially commenced after Council Members proposing a toast on the stage. At the middle of the dinner, President Angela Lau led the attendance to wish the retiring Senior Pharmacist Mrs. Mary Cheng the best of health and happy life after retirement and presented her a bouquet.
