The Association has organized a talk on the Dietary Supplement Regulation in the U.S. on 12 March 2007 in the Senate Room on 16/F., Li Ka Shing Building, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The guest speaker is Dr. Roger Clemens, Director, Regulatory Science Department, School of Pharmacy, University of Southern California. Dr. Clemens has talked about the background and history of the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act (DSHEA) which was passed by the US Congress in 1994. He also discussed and analyzed the imminent implementation of Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) for dietary supplement manufacturers in the US helping members particularly those who import products from the US to understand the future situation.
