Hong Kong Health Food Delegates Trade Development Tour to Zhongshan & Guangzhou

2008 July 3rd and 4th, 24 members joined the trade development tour to Zhongshan and Guangzhou organized by the Association and Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Take this opportunity to understand the import policy and market environment; at the same time, to look for potential business partners. Upon arrival, the group visited the National Zhongshan Health Technology Park and listened to the introduction of the Park. Then, took part in an exchange meeting with companies in the Park chaired by the vice mayor of Zhongshan City, Mr. Tang Ying. It was followed by visit to two specialty enterprises operated in the Park. Next day, the delegates attended a meeting with the Deputy Director of Department for Supervision on Food, Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Mr. Huang Peng and listened to his department’s presentation on the inspection procedures and control for imported products. Before returning to Hong Kong, the delegates took chance to visit a retail health supplement chain store in a large shopping mall.
