The Association meeting with the new Chief Executive

A meeting with Mr. CY Leung, who then was a highly publicly accepted Chief Executive candidate, was organized on 20 Dec 2011 at 2:30 pm by The Hong Kong Health Food Association and Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association. Both associations have individually presented their respective industry future roadmap and industry issues to Mr. Leung. At this juncture, Hong Kong Health Food Association emphasized the importance of establishing a specific legislation to regulate the quality and safety of health food products during his tenure as Chief Executive so that consumers have strengthened confidence in purchasing products to keep them healthy, resulting in a reduction of disease risk and an effective control of medical expenditure.
