The Hong Kong Health Food Association invited Dr. Chris Liu from The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) to attend the Council meeting and share different programmes offered by the institute. Some of the programmes are closely related to the health food industry, including BSc (Honours) in Food Science and Safety, BSc (Honours) in Testing and Certification, BSc (Honours) in Nutrition and Healthcare Management and BSc (Honours) in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy.
THEi provides students with opportunities to participate in summer or year-round internships to diversify their development. As the association encourages health food industry to provide internship opportunities, students then can actively participate in training programs and prepare themselves before entering the health food industry. Moreover, the association plans to have more future collaborations with THEi to attract talents and offer support to the students.
