23 Apr Beijing and Baoding Traditional Chinese Medicine Study Tour
On 26th to 29th March, 2024, the Hong Kong Health Food Association, was invited by the Modern Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA) to visit Beijing, Baoding, and Anguo as representative of the Hong Kong Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ms. Vivien Chou , Vice President of the Hong Kong Health Food Association, led the delegation as the head, with Mr. Terry Chiu from the External Affairs Committee and Dr. Yang Qikai serving as delegation members and secretary, respectively. The delegation consisted of a total of 22 people, who visited and conducted interviews at the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Nutrition and Health Food Association, Baoding Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry-Academia-Research Forum, Anguo Modernized Traditional Chinese Medicine Planting and Cultivation Base, Yaowang Temple, Anguo Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance and Innovation Base, Anguo Modernized Traditional Chinese Medicine Industrial Park, and other places. They discussed and deepened cooperation mechanisms in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and signed various strategic cooperation memorandums. The Hong Kong Health Food Association also strengthened communication with its counterpart, the China Nutrition and Health Food Association, and greatly admired their efforts and achievements in promoting the establishment of industry standards. At the same time, they also learned about changes in relevant cross-border laws, regulations, and policies from different regulatory authorities. The traditional Chinese medicine and health products industries in China have been developing rapidly. We hope to have more opportunities in the future to participate in the industry development in the Greater Bay Area and even in China as a whole. We also hope that more members can benefit from it.
