22 May Hong Kong Health Food Association participated in the 2024 Qiong-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Sanya Exchange Conference
We are honored that the Hong Kong Health Food Association, at the invitation of the 2024 Qiong-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Sanya Exchange Conference, went to Sanya, Hainan for a three-day inspection from May 7 to 9, 2024. This exchange meeting provided us with a valuable opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the local development direction and future collaborative opportunities.
Dialogue with mayor-level officials: We had in-depth discussions with the deputy mayor and officials of Sanya, Hainan, to discuss the potential for cooperation between Hong Kong and Hainan. Pay special attention to important issues such as the world’s largest duty-free complex and the island-wide customs closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port next year.
Company Visits: We visited local enterprises, particularly large-scale infrastructure projects like Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the local industrial development and innovation achievements.
Suggestions on the introduction of health foods: Mr. Terry Chiu, a representative of the Hong Kong Health Food Association, made suggestions at the meeting on the feasibility of introducing health foods into Hong Kong after Hainan closed the customs. Officials documented the suggestion and analyzed its feasibility.
