Co-organized Seminar with the Hong Kong Customs

Co-organized Seminar with the Hong Kong Customs

The Association recently co-organized a seminar with the Hong Kong Customs to share with the industry the latest developments regarding the “Trade Single Window” and information related to the Trade Descriptions Ordinance, which was well-received.

Phase 3 of the “Trade Single Window” was officially launched on May 1, fully replacing the “Road Cargo Information System” (ROCARS). It provides the industry with a one-stop electronic platform for submitting advance cargo information for road transport, further advancing the digitization of Hong Kong’s trade processes, enhancing customs clearance efficiency, and reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as an international trade center and logistics hub.

In addition, the seminar provided an in-depth explanation of the key provisions of the Trade Descriptions Ordinance, helping the industry understand regulations regarding product descriptions and business practices. This ensures consumers receive accurate product information and safeguards their rights. Through the sharing of real-life scenarios and case studies, the event facilitated industry exchange and learning, while the Q&A session was marked by lively interaction and a vibrant atmosphere.

Event sponsor 91APP shared the latest e-commerce insights and success stories. Moving forward, the Association will continue to organize diverse events to actively elevate professional standards within the industry, strengthen communication and collaboration among the government, the industry, and consumers, and jointly promote the industry’s sustainable development.
