We would like to thank the Hon Shiu Ka Fai, for the Wholesale and Retail Sector, for meeting with our council members at the Legislative Council yesterday (29 April) to exchange views on the actual needs of the health food industry in terms of production processes and documentation standards.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Centre for Food Safety (CFS) made adjustments to the management of health foods. The Hon Shiu quickly contacted the CFS commissioner to actively promote communication between the industry and government departments. This will not only help maintain the good reputation of Hong Kong’s health food, but also help protect the rights of consumers and create favorable conditions for the industry to expand export markets.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Hon Shiu also shared his understanding of the spirit of the two sessions and relevant policy highlights, and had an in-depth exchange on the current challenges and future development of the health food industry.<\/p>\n

The Association hopes to establish a closer cooperative relationship with the Hon Shiu and relevant government agencies in the future to jointly promote the continued prosperity and healthy development of Hong Kong’s health food industry, and work together to meet challenges and seize opportunities.<\/p>\n
