2008 Annual Dinner General Meeting and Dinner The Annual General Meeting and Dinner in 2008 was held on 24th October. Japan Hokkaido Trade Association Visit The Hong Kong office of the Japan External Trade Organization has invited the Association to send representatives to participate in the business promotion meeting of the Hokkaido trade association from Japan on 23 September. The Regulatory Affairs Committee representatives have briefly introduced the local market, product import and related registration requirements to the delegates; and answered specific questions of individual delegate. International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernized Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM) The Association has exhibited at the ICMCM for three consecutive years. During the exhibition, a number of enquiries were received from foreign visitors who wanted to know the criteria for importing and selling products in Hong Kong. Some have asked the Association to refer them business partner in Hong Kong. Nutrition Labeling Workshop In view of the Legislative Council has passed the nutrition Labeling regulation, the Association has requested the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department to organize a workshop particularly targeted to the health food industry on July 25, 08. The Workshop is divided into three parts: (1) Presentation on the regulation contents; (2) Participants were broken into groups and given mock nutrition labels to work out the correct labeling; (3) Q&A to clarify issues participants did not understand. Hong Kong Health Food Delegates Trade Development Tour to Zhongshan & Guangzhou 2008 July 3rd and 4th, 24 members joined the trade development tour to Zhongshan and Guangzhou organized by the Association and Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
