2007 Annual General Meeting and Dinner 2007 AGM and Annual Dinner of the Association were held on 26 October 2007. The AGM has successfully elected and passed the Officers of the Association for 2008/09. At the Annual Dinner, Legislative Councilor, Hon Tommy CHEUNG Yu-yan, SBS, JP was the honorable guest speaker, and Legislative Councilor, Dr Hon Joseph LEE Kok-long, JP presided over the oath taking ceremony of the new Council. Mr. Anthony Chan, Chief Pharmacist of Department of Health presented appointment certificates to Honorary Regulatory Advisers. Details

ICMCM 2007 Exhibition The Association has exhibited in the ICMCM for 3 consecutive years. The purpose of exhibition is to enhance public awareness and public image of the Association. Throughout the exhibition period of August 16-20, 2007, the Association has handed out to the general public thousands of health index cards printed by the Association, and various health information leaflets published by the Centre for Health Protection. Natural Products Asia Expo 2007 The Association was invited by Penton Media, the organizer, to be a key supporting organization of the Expo. The role is to promote the event to members as well as to the industry. During the period 27-29 June, the Association ran an exhibition booth in the Expo. The exhibition panels have details of the Honorary Scientific Board Members, full listing of members, major activities of the Association. Four members of the Association also have exhibited in the Expo. Details

Food Labeling Seminar If a health food in oral dosage form does not qualify by legal definition to be a drug, it will automatically fall into in the category of food. This type of health food must adhere to the requirements set out in the Food Labeling Regulation. Albeit, the requirements are not suitable for labeling health food, the industry has to abide by the law. As the food additives labeling will become mandatory on 10 July 2007. Product Registration Talk Department of Health requires vitamin or mineral containing health food to be registered as pharmaceutical product before selling. Small and medium enterprises, in general, are not familiar with the registration process and requirements in detail. Therefore, the　Association has requested the Department to speak on the subject. The two hours plus talk was held in the lecture theater of the Public Health Laboratory Centre on 25 April 2007. Details
