Hong Kong Health Food Association has organised a study tour to visit organisations and enterprises that are experts in their industries in Shenzhen, Dongguan and Nansha. The aim of the study tour is to facilitate connections and collaboration between HK & GBA. The itinerary included exploring registration, laws and regulations of health supplements in China.  The visit to chain pharmacy stores allowed us to have a better understanding of the docking and services of pharmacies with mainland hospitals and customers….

International conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicines & health products (ICMCM) cum MCMIA welcome banquet attracted intellectuals in businesses and academia from all over the world. They shared their scientific research and its application, as well as the their respective processes of commercialisation and globalisation. Hong Kong Health Food Association is a supporting organization of this conference. The association fully support collaboration between participants and improves the development of Chinese medicine and health supplements.

The Hong Kong Health Food Association was invited to participate the in-depth interview organised by Hong Kong Productivity Council and Jinan University. The project was designed to investigate the policies proposed in the health food industry, and reflect on the difficulties and challenges faced while implementing them, allowing for the application of development within the Greater Bay Area to bring out advancements in multi-disciplinary approaches. TVB programme “Finance Magazine” interviewed the Hong Kong Health Food Association, discussing the trends of health supplements before and after the pandemic, and the obstacles faced while expanding to mainland China and international markets. The association is currently referencing information provided by other countries, to research and create a more robust, effective and standardised system for the local community, as well as to communicate between the respective departments from mainland China and abroad. President Joanne Cheung represented the Hong Kong Health Food Association, and attended “The 26th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region, and the 30th Anniversary of the Founding of the Liberal Party Cocktail Reception”.
